    State Councillors' Briefing June, 2025

State Councillors’ Briefings are QFI member only events.

The briefings focus on a particular topic, project or initiative. We have a guest speaker who is a Queensland Leader from industry, academia, charity or government.

SEC Newgate will also provide a Mood of the Nation update on the current issues impacting Queenslanders followed by a report which is sent to members.

    Date: 4th June, 2025
    Time: 5:30pm – 6.30pm

    By invitation only

    Speaker:
    Neil Stephens
    Chief Executive Officer
    Port of Brisbane

The Port of Brisbane is a cornerstone of the Queensland economy – it is one of Australia’s fastest growing container ports and the state’s largest multi-cargo port. Neil will outline the PortBris2060 vision document to be released mid year.  By 2060 the Port of Brisbane stands as a beacon of sustainable growth and technological innovation in an open and stable world, experiencing unprecedented trade volumes and cruise passenger numbers, while pioneering renewable energy solutions and efficient logistics operations.
