Now more than ever Queensland’s future prosperity relies upon the public and private sectors working better together to tackle our State’s challenges and to take advantage of its many opportunities.
The QFI takes the position that empowering and building the capability of both the public and private sectors will lead to more informed, efficient, and faster economic outcomes. We believe that improved collaboration will deliver better economic growth through improved service delivery, more efficient and effective public policy, funding and investment programs.
The QFI has underway a significant investment in partnering with its tertiary institution members to develop and deliver the highest quality joint learning and development programs for the public and private sectors: QFI Learning
As with all that QFI does, the formation of QFI Learning has been based on the fundamentals of collaboration, and quality.
Tertiary Education Partnerships
QFI Learning programs are developed and delivered in partnership with Queensland’s world class tertiary institutions. We leverage the expertise and quality of our best learning institutions, our brightest educators, partnering with government, business and industry to develop new courses and approaches to delivery.
Our program of short courses is expertly tailored to meet the needs of learners, emphasising quality and relevance to the challenges of today and tomorrow.

2025 EXECUTIVE PUBLIC SECTOR AND INDUSTRY PROGRAM
This program seeks to actively support the growth and development of Queensland’s Public Sector by fostering purposeful engagement between Queensland’s public and private sectors.
Launched in July 2024, the Executive Public Sector and Industry Program is a flagship initiative by the Queensland Futures Institute (QFI) developed in partnership with and delivered by the University of Queensland (UQ) Business School. It is designed to bridge the gap and enable leaders to effectively navigate the complexities of cross-sector collaboration.
This program addresses the need for enhanced collaboration between Queensland’s public and private sectors to support economic and social progress. Through a suite of tailored courses, participants will gain the knowledge, skills, and tools to foster stakeholder engagement, build trust, apply systems thinking, and lead adaptive, inclusive strategies.
Begin with the foundational stakeholder engagement course to ensure success in future learning modules and cross-sector projects.
